I guess superman showed up much faster than I expected. It’s official: I’m going on the Fall 2011 voyage of Semester at Sea!!
Today I learned that I’ve been awarded a Presidential scholarship paying for my board and tuition. I really can’t believe it. I had to have someone read the notification for me to make sure it was real.
But part of me totally can believe it and is not surprised at all. God is just so good. He gives us more than we have the gumption to hope for–and for no good reason other than that He loves us. So many times it’s easy for me to focus on the bad things going on in my life. It’s was a humbling reminder for me to stop and think about how lavishly I’ve been blessed beyond what even I can dream of–and I’m a pretty big dreamer.
All that to say, this little blog just got a whole lot more important! I’m required to keep in touch with the committee that gave me the scholarship (they recommended using blog posts), and I’ll most definitely want to keep in touch with all of you guys…the people who love me and rooted me on in going for something crazy!
